Jin Dongmei, a 6-year-old Tibetan girl, plays with her tiny dog at her home in China. Dongmei’s parents and siblings were killed a year ago in a mudslide that struck Yueyuan Village on Aug. 8, 2010. Now she and her grandparents live in a low-rent house with other survivors. Thousands of people gathered earlier this week to mourn the 1,500 people who died.
